Strapping and Banding Machines

Description:

Strapping machines attach plastic strapping to packages to improve bundling. Unlike pallet strapping systems, these strap machines are used for smaller applications such as packages, and they require operator assistance. Typically, strapping produces less waste by volume than stretch wrap.

Best Application:

Small Cases
Newspaper Stacks
Magazine Stacks
Mail Stacks

Types of Strapping / Banding Machines

Arch Strap Machines

  • Requires an operator to position the package, and press an activation button (or foot switch) to start the strapping operation.
  • With an arch machine, the strap travels around an “arch” creating a loop before activation

Hand-held Bander Tool

  • Requires an operator to loop the strap around the package, then uses bander to tighten, seal, and cut the strap
  • Ideal for bundling incoming and outgoing mail, newspapers, magazines
  • Lighter and more portable than other strap machines

Side-Seal Arch Strap Machines

  • Side mounted strapping head keeps moisture and debris away from the strapping head
  • Requires an operator to position the package, and press an activation button (or foot switch) to start the strapping operation.

Tabletop Strappers

  • Requires an operator takes a loose end of strap that has been fed from the machine, loop it around the product, and hand feed it into the strapping and sealing area.
  • Open table top design allows for greater versatility with case sizes and weights
